What is this?! What's going on?!

Irate Chicken is a free, ~500-word Substack launching in January 2026. Published every other week, this publication is dedicated to two things: ratings of chicken dishes I eat (mostly in NYC—“I rate chicken!”), and one historical fact tied either to the dish itself or to an artwork featuring a chicken. It’s both a cultural history of the world via chickens, plus restaurant reviews via their chicken.
